Season 7 Episode 1 | Beef Ham Sandwich with Homemade Guacamole Recipe

A quick and simple sandwich that will make your co-workers green with envy! Refreshingly healthy and easy, bring this to work or have it for a Sunday brunch. Tip: Simply use whatever that’s in your fridge to substitute the beef ham if you can’t get hold of it.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 Loaves Wholewheat Bread
  • 300 Grams Ham
  • 2 Pieces Avocado Halves, seeded and peeled
  • 1 Piece Spanish Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Chilli Flakes
  • 1 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Cups Fresh Wild Rockets
  • 1 Piece Tomato Medium sized, sliced

Instructions

    1. Half the loaves lengthwise and place them in the toaster oven at 200 degrees for about 3 minutes.
    2. Heat a non-stick pan and grill the beef ham for about 2 minutes on each side.
    3. Dice the Spanish onion.
    4. Peel and chop the garlic.
    5. In a bowl, combine the avocado, onions, chilli flakes, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix well, making sure the avocado is mashed.
    6. Assemble the sandwich by spooning a dollop of the guacamole onto the bread, then layer it with the beef ham, rockets and tomatoes.
    7. Add sliced cheese if you like.
    8. Serve with a side of salad.
