Classic fried chicken recipe halalfoodhunt

Crispy, golden and juicy tender chicken pieces which are great for family gatherings while watching your favourite movie or football match. Serve these with mains like our signature Nasi Lemak, or simply enjoy them on its own.

Serves 4-6 Pax


  • 200 Grams Plain Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 240 Millilitre Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1 Whole Chicken Cut into 8 parts
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt



  1. WASH the chicken thoroughly with water and salt.
  2. MIX together milk and vinegar in a bowl.
  3. SOAK the chicken with the milk and vinegar mixture.
  4. MARINATE the chicken in this mixture for at least half an hour to half a day.


  1. MIX the turmeric, paprika, salt, pepper and flour thoroughly in a zip lock bag provided or bowl.
  2. HEAT oil in a frying pan.
  3. COAT the marinated chicken with the mixture of dry ingredients.
  4. FRY the coated chicken in the hot oil for 7-8 minutes on each side at a medium low heat.
  5. SERVE Fried Chicken while hot
