SG-Halal Guide to Spending Your Christmas Weekend!
by Nur Aziemah Dec 23, 2015
It’s quite the dilemma. We are in wonderful, harmonious Singapore so you’ve got those extra days off even if you don’t celebrate the occasion behind it. Like this Friday for instance. So what do you do with it? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
1. Splurge on Goodies at Halalfoodhunt’s Bake Sale
First of all, it’s Friday so what are you doing at home?! Go, go, go out! While your other non muslim friends may be partying away, you still have other options to go to. In fact if you’re not sure where to go, let's say we just so happen to be hosting our monthly bake sale this Friday eh.
After all, what else does one do best on a free day except enjoy glorious food. Since you’re at it, support our local, talented baking community. Grab some goodies by our homegrown bakers and prepare to bunk in for the long, chill weekend. And hey, if going out is too much effort, get them delivered to your doorstep. Have you seen what’s on the menu yet?

2. Feast Out with Your Long Lost Brethren!
Of course when you have a free day, that’s also your cue to round up the masses for a social gathering. Call up your buddies-for-life or your extended, extended, extended family members or even plan a mini school reunion and catch up over a meal or dessert. If you can’t seem to decide where to go yet, then how about… Butter Studio, 147 Jalan Besar For a relaxed gathering over desserts, Butter Studio is a great place to chillax and enjoy delicious cakes, tarts and various treats.

Take the opportunity to celebrate birthdays for the late December babies or even put in an early celebration for the January babies. Accompany your treats with heart warming drinks like the Hot Nutella and Butterscotch Vanilla when you dine at Butter Studio.
If you want something more filling with an asian taste, then have a feast at GREAThai, 430 Upper Changi Road, East Village! Enjoy a delectable feast of fish, chicken, spring rolls and warm, delicious soup.

halalfoodhunt.com is a website listing verified Muslim-owned or Halal Certified food businesses. We started out educating halal foodies on how to know if a food is halal or not when there are no halal certifications. As we received so many enquiries on whether a food business is halal or not, we created halalfoodhunt.com, while letting halal foodies know about the myriad of options open to them! It is a website created and self-funded by local Singaporean Muslims for the Singaporean Muslim community.
